As I Lay Dying - Elegy (live)  adalah bonus DVD dari album Shadows Are Security. Elegy itu sendiri merupakan track 12 dari abum kedua As I Lay Dying bertajuk Frail Words Collapse yang dirilis pada tanggal 1 Juli 2003 di bawah naungan label Metal Blade Records.

Assalamu'alaikum

Udah lama gak bikin postingan sendiri (kayak yang bisa nulis aje -____-") harap maklum kalau artikelnya sedikit 'ngawur' karena admin tidak hobi menulis. Sebelum ke topik pembicaraan, saya mau bahas alasan kenapa saya kasih judul Musik dan Biologi Evolusi? kenapa gak Musik dan Oncom? *ehem* Okeh ini alasannya, pertama karena saya kuliah jurusan biologi, ilmu yang mempelajari makhluk hidup, walaupun sebenernya saya gak ada minat dan niat sama sekali sama yang namanya biologi. Kedua karena saya suka sama yang namanya musik, I'm a simple musician, song writter kecil-kecilan (kayak jualan mas kecil-kecilan. huehehe atau gak percaya saya punya band? klik disini). Jadi lewat tulisan ini saya mau coba menghubung-hubungkan 2 bidang yang saya geluti sekarang ini, walaupun gak nyambung-nyambung. Langsung ke TKP, cekidot !

Saya tertarik sama video yang satu ini, bukan hanya karena judulnya Goes To Jakarta tapi juga back song-nya yang lembut-lembut selow gimana gitu yang bikin pengen mantengin terus ini video. Setelah keliling nanya-nanya sama akang google, akhirnya nemu juga judul lagunya. Judulnya When I'm Gone, bonus track dari album A Rocket To The Moon yang bertajuk On Your Side.

Screaming Bloody Murder is the fifth studio album by Canadian punk band Sum 41, released on March 29, 2011, after many delays. It was the band's second album produced by the band's frontman Deryck Whibley and recorded as a three piece, and is the first album by the band since 2007's Underclass Hero which marks the longest gap between two Sum 41 albums. Even though new lead guitarist Tom Thacker was already a part of the band and co-wrote the title track off the album, all guitars were still recorded by singer Deryck Whibley.

       Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1987. The awesome members include: Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool. 

In 1987, friends Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt, 15 years old at the time, formed a band called Sweet Children. The first Sweet Children show took place on October 17, 1987, at Rod's Hickory Pit in Vallejo, California where Armstrong's mother was working. In 1988, Armstrong and Dirnt began working with former Isocracy drummer, John Kiffmeyer (also known as Al Sobrante). Kiffmeyer served as both the band's drummer and business manager, handling the booking of shows and helping the band establish a fan base. As said in the film Punk's Not Dead, Armstrong  cites the band Operation Ivy (which features Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman of Rancid) as a major influence, and a band that drove Billie Joe  to form a band.

Awesome as Fuck (also known as Awesome as F**k) is a live album by the American punk rock band Green Day, released March 22, 2011 through Reprise Records.The album is composed of tracks recorded during Green Day's 2009–2010 21st Century Breakdown World Tour in support of their eighth studio album 21st Century Breakdown, and includes a DVD of a concert recorded at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, also available in Blu-ray.

    Dengan ditulisnya artikel ini, saya berharap dapat merubah pandangan negatif masyarakat luas tentang Punk. 

     Greg Graffin yang bernama lengkap Gregory Walter Graffin, Ph.D., lahir di Racine, Wiconsin, United States, 6 November 1964, seorang Musisi Punk Rock Amerika, Dosen dan penulis. Dia lebih dikenal sebagai vokalis dan penulis lagu dari Bad Religion. Graffin memperoleh gelar Ph.D di Cornell University dengan tesis berjudul "Monism, Atheism and the Naturalist Worldview: Perspectives from Evolutionary Biology". Hal ini dijelaskan sebagai dasar Ph.D. biologi evolusioner tetapi harus juga relevan dengan sejarah dan filsafat ilmu. Ia mengajar dalam bidang Ilmu Kehidupan dan Paleontologi di University Of California, Los Angeles. Pada bulan April 2011, Graffin mengatakan bahwa ia akan mengajar  di Cornell University, kembali ke kelas dan mengajar Evolusi selama 14 minggu.

It’s hard to believe that a veteran metal band like San Diego’s As I Lay Dying could be just hitting their stride now, some 10 years and five full-lengths into an already stellar career. Still, even after just one listen to the quintet’s latest, The Powerless Rise, you can’t ignore the obvious: One of modern metal’s best just got better.

Similar to their approach on 2007′s Grammy-nominated An Ocean Between Us, the band chose to employ the production prowess of Adam D. and record a majority of the album at singer Tim Lambesis’ own private studio.  The end result is The Powerless Rise; the first true collaborative effort between the current AILD lineup.

     Awal bulan ini tepatnya 1 Agustus 2011, Sum 41 resmi merilis sebuah film dokumenter berjudul Don't Try This At Home. Film dokumenter yang berdurasi 45 menit ini merupakan behind the scene dari pembuatan album Screaming Bloody Murder.

Assalamu'alaikum

Pada artikel sebelumnya sudah kita bahas tentang penyanyi Islami international asal Inggris, Sami Yusuf. Kali ini saya mau berbagi sedikit tentang biografi penyanyi islami asal Swedia, pria murah senyum itu bernama Maher Zain Munsyid.

     Maher Zain adalah musisi islami seorang penyanyi Swedia dan produser musik asal Lebanon lahir pada tahun 1982 di Libanon. Pria keturunan Arab dan Eropa yang hadir dengan lagu bernafas Islami dalam balutan musik modern dan pop yang catchy namun menghanyutkan.

Daftar Nama Band dengan Judul Lagu Forsaken

Lagi bingung mau posting apa, tanpa disengaja muncul ide buat posting artikel ini. Maklum saya newbie di dunia blogging. Okay, langsung ke topik utama kita Daftar Nama Band  dengan Judul Lagu Forsaken. Awalnya saya kira ini lagu Forsaken ini cuma punya As I Lay Dying, tapi pas searching di google pake keyword Forsaken Lyric ternyata banyak banget band yang punya lagu berjudul Forsaken. Walaupun judulnya sama, tapi masing-masing band punya genre yang berbeda, cekidot :

We asked lead singer Tim Lambesis, "Is 'Forsaken' about your faith, or is there another meaning?" Here's his reply:
"'Forsaken' is not about my faith at all, but it does address issues of faith in a round about way. Belief is simply words if not followed by action. 'Forsaken' is about the poor and the oppressed of the world that we (definitely including myself) turn our backs on without even realizing it.
